Expect Fashion while you are Expecting!

Pregnancy is a great time in a woman’s life, and as memorable as it is, it is sometimes a perception that pregnancy and nursing are treated as a time of discomfort and pain. With proper attire, whether you are pregnant or are nursing, you can help ease this discomfort and continue to look your sexy self! A few tips and techniques: Let your clothes stretch as you stretch. Buy styles that have elastic and spandex, or rayon/polyester combinations often referred to as jersey. Look in the plus-size department of your favorite store, in addition to maternity stores, to maximize your selection. Avoid any styles that cut into your belly. They’ll eventually become uncomfortable and may cut off your circulation. And, if you are dressing formally: Remember that dark colors are generally regarded as more formal, not to mention slimming. Look for shades of sapphire, emerald, ruby, wine and, of course, black. Why pay big bucks for something you’ll wear only once? Check the phone book for stores that rent formalwear to women, or borrow something from friends or family. Buy, borrow or rent appropriate to your size at the time of the event. You may outgrow a piece that you buy for a future date. Remember that skirts and dresses will hike up in front as your belly grows. Try everything on and sit down before you head out the door. If you looking for the best attire during pregnancy and nursing, Pajamas are a great contributor and with a unique focus on Pajamas and Nursing Bras, NursingPJs.com is creating news! When it comes to nursing and maternity what else would anyone want to wear and for many other people to see you in, but comfy pajamas! Pajamas feel great, at least they should as most of your time will be spent in them. So feeling sexy and looking hip is and can be a possibility.

Sexy Nursing Bras

I was out this morning getting my nails done – it was crazy out there today too. I guess the day before Thanksgiving isn’t the best day to run errands. Anyway, while I was getting my nails done there was this older lady getting a pedicure. She would not stop talking – and she talked very loudly! One of the girls that works in the salon is pregnant – about 5 months, give or take. The pedicure lady (I’ll call her Crazy Lady) was asking this woman how come she didn’t have maternity clothes yet. That took some nerve considering the woman had on a real cute fitted pregnancy top. Crazy Lady went on to say that “women today don’t buy maternity clothes”. For some reason she thinks that a pregnant woman can wear normal fitted tops. My sister just had a baby in September and even though her tops were fitted they had to be maternity or she couldn’t fit into them. Crazy Lady couldn’t handle the fact that today women have cute clothes choices when pregnant and they aren’t forced to wear huge sacks anymore. Crazy Lady just didn’t get it. It is possible to be pregnant or nursing and have hip clothes. Today’s nursing bras allow women to breast-feed indiscreetly and comfortably. Fashion for pregnant and nursing women has come so far – even since I had my daughter 10 years ago. It is a much needed improvement, regardless of Crazy Lady’s opinion. I actually think the fitted tops look much better on pregnant women vs. the huge baggy shirts that make you look like a tent. My sister is still nursing and she has found some adorable outfits and undergarments to accommodate her ample chest. There is even lingerie available for pregnant mothers. I think this is so fantastic because I know it’s hard not to feel like a beached whale while pregnant (at least I did!).

Great Gift Idea for the Nursing Mom

One of my best friends is expecting a baby in late December, early January. No telling when the little sweetheart will arrive. I wanted to get her something for the baby for Christmas, but I also wanted to pamper her. I wanted it to be something useful, but that would be wonderful to receive. Well, I think I actually found what I want to get her. She is planning on nursing her baby. She nursed her first one for over a year, so this one will probably be the same. She complained that none of her nursing clothing or bras were comfortable. Not to mention, do you know how hard it is to find good Nursing PJ’s? Well, NursingPJs.com is the answer. They are a specialty store for nursing mothers. They strive to help new mothers look sex, hip and stylish, while still providing a good product that is both comfortable and top quality. They also sell maternity clothing and accessories, but their nursing clothing and products are the best I’ve seen. I fell in love with their nursing pajamas. They have something for EVERY mother. There is casual, elegant and sexy. There are pajamas, night shirts, nightgowns and not only are they super cute, but they are affordable and are better than anything I ever owned when I was nursing! When I was nursing my daughter, I had a hard time finding comfortable Nursing Bras, well apparently they’ve come to the rescue there too. Because I found gorgeous, comfortable bras and camisoles that I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase. They come in all styles and colors and are simply fabulous. But don’t just stop there. They also have dresses, tops, lingerie, all kinds of accessories, pillows, pumps, and so much more. This is easily your one stop shopping source for anyone you know that is expecting or is a new mother.

Baby News

It’s finally official. Hubby and I are finally trying to get pregnant. For the past couple of years we’ve been in that “if it happens we’re ready” state of mind, but only recently have we actually decided it’s time to start trying. Well, I decided a long time ago, but he only decided recently that he’s really ready. I look at it like I’m 26 now, and I really want to have a family. Sure the puppy and the cat are great, but there’s nothing like having a baby in the house. I’ve always said I wanted to have my kids by 30, and if we start now there’s a good chance of that still happening because I want 2 kids. Now I’ve just got so much to think about. There’s the prenatal stuff to keep up with like taking my extra vitamins and folic acid to make sure if I do get pregnant my body is prepared. Once I find out I’m pregnant I’ll have to start buying maternity clothes, and then there will be baby items, and eventually I’ll have to worry about clothing that will allow me to nurse. I might not be the most stylish person out there, but I want to make sure when the time comes and there is a baby in the house that I can still be comfortable enough yet stylish while caring for it. I’ve been checking out NursingPJs.com, and I like what they have to offer. They’ve got tons of maternity clothing that looks more like something I would wear. Actually a lot of the maternity tops look like tops I already wear like the one I’m picturing here. I’ll probably order a few maternity tops, and if I like them I’ll go back for my Nursing Bras and stuff when the time comes for those. There are also tons of nursing dresses and shirts that I think are an absolutely brilliant idea. Not only are they designed to allow the new mom to still look super hot, but they give easy access for nursing. So many new moms already have issues with their appearance, so I think it’s great to give them a way to still look good and feel good about the clothes they’re in while they’re caring for their new baby. I’m definitely going to be bookmarking this site for the future…hopefully the near future!

Clothing Finally Catching Up With the Times

There are many things that have changed in the whole realm of having children since the days when our parents had us. For one thing, dads are actually expected to be in the room and– GULP– cut the extension umbilical cord. They are given all sorts of instructions about not holding their wife’s hand and they see things that their dads never saw (and some never wish to see). Another thing that has changed is the fashion relating to maternity and nursing. Just a generation ago the whole process was something that was almost hidden away. It was as if you didn’t want anyone to know until the last possible second that you were actually with child. When going shopping with my wife while expecting our three children I was impressed and amazed about what has changed. There are larger sections of maternity clothes in the major stores. There are catalogues to order things that are not there. And let’s not forget the new stores explicitly for mothers that are expecting and nursing. NursingPJs.com is one of the companies that are stepping up to meet the needs not only of the women that are expecting, but those that are nursing as well. From Nursing Bras to Nursing Dresses, NursingPJs stocks a wide selection of clothing to keep you modest while nursing. Many of the tops and dresses are modest, although there is some immodest fashion on there. So, men should proceed with caution? but it’s definitely a great place to go to and work together with your wife to pick out things that would be both appropriate and fashionable at the same time. From now until the end of the year they are offering free shipping on any order, so that makes it the perfect place to find the perfect nursing attire for the woman in your life. So, go on over and check them out and see if there’s something that would work well for the nursing mom in your life

Expecting? Nursing? Hip and Sexy? Absolutely!

It is really cool when I see expectant mothers wearing the hippest, coolest outfits even when they are pregnant. I guess Demi Moore brought back the sexy in pregnant moms when she posed for Vanity Fair in the nude and showing her belly to the world. Before this generation, it was taboo. No one was supposed to see your tummy while you’re pregnant. It was embarrassing for them then. Not today. Today, they are out and proud. I believe Melissa Gilbert did the same spread when she was expecting her baby. There’s nothing wrong being proud of your body. It is what it is and they either love it or hate it - but there’s nothing they can do about it. Only you can. Even after the baby is born, usually women experience a difference in their body size, and specific parts as well due to nursing. When they nurse, they tend to be fuller in the bosom area and there’s just no way of hiding it. They also have to make sure that the baby has access to it when breast-feeding time comes. Well well well, there’s a company out there that is well experienced in this area. They concentrate of marketing towards nursing moms and expectant moms. Nursing Bras are hip and sexy these days. They are no longer hidden and the products this company sells are of extreme quality. They also sell Nursing PJs, dresses, tops, lingerie and even swimwear. Lots and lots of choices for you. It’s a win-win! So, if you know of a person in your life that is expecting or nursing and you are wondering where to get that gift - Visit www.nursingpjs.com. I’m sure with their wide selection of products, you are bound to find something that would be worthwhile - for you or as a gift for someone you love.
