Nursing for the Fashionable Mom

One of the hardest parts of going through labor for many women is the sense that while they go through one of nature's most beautiful processes exclusive to females, they also lose some of their feminine flair and lose confidence. The problem is that whatever bodily changes are restored post labor aren't always enough when it comes to the nursing woman. An active mother who chooses to nurse her baby must choose her clothing according to their nursing possibilities, especially when there is a chance she will nurse in a public place. But nursing clothing is no longer a restriction for fashionable mothers. Modern designs and solutions are available that are both convenient and fashionable. You can find a terrific selection of nursing clothing at nursingpjs.com. They offer every type of attire for young mothers including Nursing Dresses, fashionable nursing tops and even the most comfortable nursing pajamas

Nursing

One of the hardest things about being a new mom is feeling good about your body. You go through that phase where you are still lugging around that pregnancy weight, but you want to be your old self again. Its even harder if you are nursing because when you nurse everyone seems to stare. I found this great site for Nursing Dresses. They are beautiful, stylish and extremely functional if you are nursing. I wish I had known about them when I was still nursing. Sometimes looking good in the clothes we can fit in is all it takes to get that confidence back after you have a baby.

Nursing Moms Need Not Look Frumpy

Speaking of a mom who breastfed three children, I appreciate maternity clothes and clothes for nursing moms that don’t make one look like one is wearing a potato sack. After spending 9 months in leggings and maternity tops, once I finally dropped my baby weight, I wanted to wear my old clothes SO badly. I quickly discovered that most of my old clothes didn’t really fit in with my new nursing mom lifestyle. Just try breastfeeding in public while wearing a regular t-shirt - you’ll end up giving half the mall a free show. So called clothes for nursing moms proved to have cumbersome buttons or flaps that weren’t easy to open with one hand.
So what’s a mom to do? Sacrifice style for comfort and ease of use? It’s not even necessary in this day and age, because specialty stores like NursingPJs.com are realizing that we want MORE than just function - we want to look good! Their site features adorable clothes for nursing moms, from PJ’s (if you’re going to stay in your jammies all day, you might as well look good!) and clothes you can wear out on the town, like these cute nursing dresses. That’s a long way from frumpy and dumpy! The clothes are designed so well that no one will ever realize they’re designed to allow you to easily nurse your baby…I love it!
If you’re a dad-to-be or a new dad, or attending a baby shower, this would make a great gift for a new mom. They’re offering free shipping for the holidays, too!

Hip Sexy Nursing Wear

by Meta-Dad

It’s fascinating to me that baby formula companies in the sixties and seventies were able to sway an entire generation of mothers/parents away from breastfeeding, of course claiming baby formula (manufactured nutritional powder mixed with cows milk) is better for you than your own Mother’s milk! Well, it seems things are coming full circle. Yes, I think breastfeeding is a good thing and no I have no harsh opinion toward those who don’t. It’s a mother’s decision, plain and simple.
If your wife does breastfeed you may want to consider getting her some cute nursing wear. For those dads out there who may not quite have a grasp on the differences between regular pajamas and nursing pajamas - let me provide some insight. Nursing wear tends to have very efficient and strategically placed snaps, gaps and “windows” to provide both momma and baby “access” to make the breast-feeding process both easy and discreet. I must admit this is some pretty exciting technology. The fine folks at NursingPJs.Com have a fine collection of nursing wear (and free holiday shipping to boot), that will please momma, baby and you (dad), as illustrated above.
Their is a plethora of scientific reports and news articles that state high and mighty claims about the many benefits to baby of being breast fed. Watching my oldest son get a battery of three shots (with the final being a tetanus shot in the thigh) while breastfeeding was a first-hand proof that their is some serious mojo in that milk. He didn’t bat an eye. Then again, he could be a robot. Personally, I side with the idea that the hormones/endorphines in the breast milk keep the baby comforted and perhaps block or lessen the impact of pain. All I know is by the end of the visit with the pediatrician, the only one not in tears was my son.

Great Clothes for New Moms

By www.jmarkafghans.com

Many, many years ago - back when God made dirt and I was very young - I had 2 kids and was thrilled to be able to feed them the way that nature intended. There is nothing better for the health of the mother and the baby than nursing. But I also remember what I had to wear, at a mere 20 years old, to be able to manage nursing my babies. Sadly, the fashion options back then were not attractive. Happily, someone has finally done something about that. Can you believe that this gorgeous hooded dress is designed for nursing mothers? Yup - that's right! And - you'll love this - the name of the site that offers this fantastic dress is called nursingpjs.com! Isn't that great?!With the holidays right around the corner, there is no reason that nursing mothers can't have comfortable outfits that don't make them feel frumpy and unattractive. Hosting a Christmas get-together? Now there's Nursing Wear that is beautiful and functional. This dress is just what every new, or expecting, mother needs to get through the busy holiday season. With a tie-back waist that adjusts to fit all shapes, this super soft cotton design is perfect. For me, comfy means pajamas. While new moms do have errands to run and places to go, we also love crawling into jammies and relaxing. Heaven knows there isn't much extended sleeping happening in the first few weeks; so we have to catch our naps when we can. This, too, is more attractive, thanks to nursingpjs.com. I just fell in love with the "Mommie and Me" collections. So, if you know an expecting or new mom, have a look at some of these beautiful designs. You can't go wrong with amazing outfits and FREE holiday shipping. Show someone that you care - and that you think she's beautiful.

Baby News

It’s finally official. Hubby and I are finally trying to get pregnant. For the past couple of years we’ve been in that “if it happens we’re ready” state of mind, but only recently have we actually decided it’s time to start trying. Well, I decided a long time ago, but he only decided recently that he’s really ready. I look at it like I’m 26 now, and I really want to have a family. Sure the puppy and the cat are great, but there’s nothing like having a baby in the house. I’ve always said I wanted to have my kids by 30, and if we start now theres a good chance of that still happening because I want 2 kids. Now I’ve just got so much to think about. There’s the prenatal stuff to keep up with like taking my extra vitamins and folic acid to make sure if I do get pregnant my body is prepared. Once I find out I’m pregnant I’ll have to start buying maternity clothes, and then there will be baby items, and eventually I’ll have to worry about clothing that will allow me to nurse. I might not be the most stylish person out there, but I want to make sure when the time comes and there is a baby in the house that I can still be comfortable enough yet stylish while caring for it. I’ve been checking out nursingpjs.com, and I like what they have to offer. They’ve got tons of maternity clothing that looks more like something I would wear. Actually a lot of the maternity tops look like tops I already wear like the one I’m picturing here. I’ll probably order a few maternity tops, and if I like them I’ll go back for my Nursing Bras and stuff when the time comes for those. There are also tons of nursing dresses and shirts that I think are an absolutely brilliant idea. Not only are they designed to allow the new mom to still look super hot, but they give easy access for nursing. So many new moms already have issues with their appearance, so I think it’s great to give them a way to still look good and feel good about the clothes they’re in while they’re caring for their new baby. I’m definitely going to be bookmarking this site for the future…hopefully the near future!
